Atlanta, Georgia native Kelly Rowland is probably best known as one third of the superstar pop girl-group Destiny s Child, along with Beyoncé Knowles and Michelle Williams. With Destiny s Child she had hits including Say My Name , Independent Women Part I (from the Charlie s Angles soundtrack), Survivor and Bootylicious . The group decided to go their separate ways in 2005 and Rowland embarked on her solo career. Her first solo success, however, came during a hiatus from Destiny s Child, with her 2002 solo album Simply Deep, which included the No.1 hit single Dilemma , a duet with rapper Nelly. While the album did well in the US, selling just over half a million copies, sales surpassed 1.5 million overseas and it debuted at No.1 in the UK album charts.
