In this tutorial, we will help you get a strong understanding of Softimage and how it works. You will get the chance to work with many of the Softimage instructors here at Digital-Tutors who will show you how to use some of the major components of this powerful application.
We'll start by giving you the foundational skills and vocabulary you'll need in order to move around within Softimage, and then we'll jump right into the Modeling section of the tutorial. After completing the Modeling section, you'll get the chance try your hand at Texturing, Rigging, Animation, ICE Dynamics, and finally, Lighting and Rendering your own animation. Our goal is not to weigh you down with technical information, but rather to help you develop good workflow habits and allow you to reach a point where you can be very comfortable using Softimage

While this makes for a less intimidating first look at Queensrяche, a better place to start would be the bands Greatest Hits collection.

Waldemar Januszczak continues his investigation of the Impressionists by taking us outdoors to their most famous locations. Although Impressionist pictures often look sunny and relaxed, achieving this peaceful air was hard work. Trudging through fog, wind and rain, across treacherous coastal rocks and knee-deep snow, Waldemar shows us how the famous spontaneity of the Impressionists is thoroughly misleading. This episode visits the French riverside locations that Monet loved to paint, and where Renoir captured the bonhomie of modern life. Waldemar also introduces a number of technical and practical developments of the age which completely revolutionised Impressionist painting - the invention of portable easels; the use of hog's hair in paint brushes; as well as the introduction of the railway through France. In this course we will go over the basics of working in Mudbox, including sculpting geometry, painting textures, posing models, and exporting meshes and maps.
Mudbox is a powerful creation tool for 3D artists. It allows us to sculpt very high resolution models, paint elaborate textures for them and output the meshes in a useable state. Using a project-based approach, we’ll go over the basics of working in Mudbox, such as the user interface and working with geometry. We’ll look at sculpting and painting topics, such as working with stamps, setting brush properties, working with Paint Layers, using Mudbox with Adobe Photoshop and painting multiple channels. We’ll also cover methods for the creation of Vector Displacement Maps to reproduce complex detail, and we’ll learn to use the Pose tools to quickly deform or pose our models. By the end of this course, you’ll have the understanding you need to integrate Mudbox into your own workflow and get started sculpting and painting your own custom projects.
