Chances are that you had one of two very distinct reactions the first time you saw Starship Troopers. You either loved it for its great special effects, hysterically cheeseball dialogue, and obtuse political commentary. Or, you loathed it for pretty much all the same reasons. Regardless of your opinion of the film, you will hate Starship Troopers, the PC first person shooter developed by Strangelite more than seven years after the film s release. This ugly, cumbersome, and downright inept shooter contains none of the things that made the film so charming.

However, some of the comedy scenes work amazingly well for example, the dialogue of the episode with the sales rep for Thomas Mann is very sharp (and highly contemporary, it would not work in 1965 or in 1980), as is the ironic interplay between narrative and pictures in the postman episode. It would be very easy though to completely ruin that sharpness in a dubbed version.

Since the TMNT movie isn’t out yet, it’s impossible to gauge exactly how much the game has in common with it. Suffice it to say, it features all the principal characters (though seemingly none of the film’s celebrity voice talent) and touches on some of the same basic themes as the film. The whole game is told through a disjointed form of flashback narration, with the titular Turtles each chiming in at random intervals to explain some chunk of the story in the past tense (usually skipping over details that might actually make the whole thing make sense). The dialogue and voice acting is fine for what it is, but as far as providing a satisfying Turtles tale, you’re out of luck here.

Normally I m a sucker for the Hallmark Channel and Larry Levinson movies, but this one is a clunker.I would normally enjoy watch something with Jennie Garth, but this movie is terrible. The daughter is boring, unconvincing, and it is hard to feel any sympathy for her ondition, which is hard to say for a movie that attempts to pull at your heart with her condition.While the romance between Jennie Garth and Ethan Erickson has the stereotypical hating each other turned into romance (which was xpected), it just didn t work in this movie. The ialogue must have been written by first grade opouts. EVERYTHING about this movie was bad. If you want to watch a Hallmark romantic comedy this season, go with the one they had last week (and again earlier today) in Smooch. The dialogue given the daughters in the two movies, as well as their acting abilities are night and day. Don t waste your time with Accidentally in Love. A more appropriate title would be Accidentally Made a Movie.
