The Righteous Brothers - Gold: Greatest Hits (2006)
Release: 2006 | Track: 28 (2CD) | Format: MP3 CBR 320 Kbps | Size: 337 MB
Genre: Pop, Rock | Label: Polydor
The Righteous Brothers were the musical duo of Bill Medley and Bobby Hatfield. They recorded from 1963 through 1975, and continued to perform until Hatfield's death in 2003. Their emotive vocal stylings were sometimes dubbed "blue-eyed soul".
Medley and Hatfield both possessed exceptional vocal talent, with range, control and tone that helped them create a strong and distinctive duet sound and also to perform as soloists. Medley sang the low parts with his deep, soulful bass-baritone, with Hatfield taking the higher register vocals with his soaring tenor.
They adopted their name in 1962 while performing together in the Los Angeles area as part of a five-member group called The Paramours, which featured John Wimber, one of the founders of the Vineyard Movement, on keyboards. At the end of one particular performance, a Marine in the audience shouted, "That was righteous, brothers!", prompting the pair to adopt the name when they embarked on a career as a duo.

 Dirt The Movie 2009 DVDRip XviD-aAF INFO : http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1243971/ IMDB Rating: 6.4/10 29 votes Size: 721 MB
PLOT :
A look at man’s relationship with Dirt. Dirt and humans couldn’t be closer. We started our journey together as stardust, swirled by cosmic forces into our galaxy, solar system, and planet. We are made of the same stuff. Four billion years of evolution created dirt as the living source of all life on Earth including humans. Dirt has given us food, shelter, fuel, medicine, ceramics, flowers, cosmetics and color –everything needed for our survival. For most of the last ten thousand years we humans understood our intimate bond with dirt and the rest of nature. We took care of the soils that took care of us. But, over time, we lost that connection. Our species became greedy and careless. We still depend on dirt, but now we abuse and ignore it. We are destroying our last natural resource with our agriculture, our mining, and our paving over the planet for cities. We turned dirt into something “dirty.” In doing so, we transform the skin of the earth into a hellish and dangerous landscape for all life on earth. A millennial shift in consciousness about the environment offers a beacon of hope - and practical solutions. Around the globe, pioneers are coming together to save earth’s last natural resource. Tiny villages rise up to battle giant corporations slaughtering their land. Scientists discover connections with soil that can balance global warming. Generation X brands organic farming as trendy and children begin to eat from edible school yards. Inmates find inner peace and job skills in a prison horticulture program. Medical researchers explore dirt’s capacity to provide solutions to such devastating health crises as AIDS. Major religions are rediscovering the reverence for the natural world that unites them all. Uses animation, vignettes, personal accounts and story telling. Miles Davis - We Want Miles [Japan Edition CSCS 5131-5132] (1982)
Jazz / Fusion | FLAC (Cue, Log, Scans) | 540 MB (rec. 5%)
EAC Rip | 2CD | Time: 77:09 min | Label: CBS / Sony Group Japan
Davis s second recording since ending his six-year retirement was one of his best of the 1980s. Unlike his bands from the 1970s, this particular unit leaves plenty of space and plays much more melodically. Guitarist Mike Stern lets loose some fury, but electric bassist Marcus Miller is not reluctant to walk now and then in a straight-ahead fashion, drummer Al Foster and percussionist Mino Cinelu are tasteful, and Bill Evans gets in a few good spots on soprano. As for Davis, he was gradually regaining his earlier form.
Recorded live at Kix, Boston, Massachusetts on June 27, 1981; Avery Fisher Hall, New York, New York on July 5, 1981; Tokyo, Japan on October 4, 1981. |

Bobo Stenson Trio - Serenity (2000) FLAC I Jun 06, 2000 | Label: ECM 1740 | 396 MB
EAC Rip | 2CD | Log, Cue, M3u, Covers complete | Release:
Genre: Jazz | Style: Modern Jazz, Avant Garde, Straightahead/Mainstream
Best known in North America for his work with Jan Garbarek and Charles Lloyd, pianist Bobo Stenson has a conception deeply rooted in the stream of lyrical pianists that includes Bill Evans, Paul Bley, and Keith Jarrett. Their varied trio philosophies, too, have certainly shaped the three-way inventions that Stenson develops with his long-standing partners, bassist Anders Jormin and drummer Jon Christensen. That established, though, no one is likely to mistake Stenson for anyone else. There s a genuinely Nordic quality to his music, from the open intervals of his native Sweden s folk songs (the kind taken up by visiting jazz musicians like Stan Getz and Art Farmer) to a particular sense of light that suffuses the trio s music. |
