A clever scifi comedy, Kozue Tanaka plays a timetraveler who journeys to the year 2001 where she gets involved in a smorgashord of sexual adventures and weird situations. Why 2001? I suspects the director Yojiro Takita is a fan of Stanley Kubrick cuz the film definitely pays homage to 2001 A Space Odyssey and possibly also A Clockwork Orange. Anyway, I think its an interesting film and hope you will enjoy it.
Yojiro Takita first came to prominence with the longrunning, popular lightcomic pink film Molesters Train (Chikan densha) series. His 1986 mainstream comedy, No More Comic Magazines! received critical praise, and he has produced several popular films since then. Yomiuri Shimbun writes that Takitas films usually have, a warm tenderness, reflecting his bright and upbeat personality.
